One of the biggest problems with building databases is that it
is often considered a low level job, to be undertaken when there is
spare time by people who are not particularly trained or experienced in
building databases.
As a results databases can often be out of date, and can be full of
inaccuracies. The money saved by undertaking database work
in house when there is some spare time is often wasted because of the
errors found in the resultant database.
Hamilton House Mailings has a specialist Database Team that can
undertake all the work required in terms of database building and
development. Prices and details are below:
Entering Data
-
Data entry: 18p per name and address,
including two additional data entry fields (such as a yes/no or
single letter code field).
-
Each additional field required: 1p
per entry
-
Importing data from an existing
database: price depends on format but where there no re-entering of
data is required: £25
-
Unscrambling data - for example where
the original data has not been consistently entered: 12 per address.
Amending data
Supplying data from the database
-
Supplying a list of records in any
format (labels, on CD etc) 4p per entry supplied
-
Set up charge where the number of
records supplied is under 300: £7.50
-
Delivery of the records: £5
Research projects
-
Building a list from internet data.
The data entry prices above apply, along with an additional research
fee which is dependent on the complexity of the work involved.
-
Questionnaire analysis. Again
the data entry prices above apply, but in addition there is charge
to analyse the data. This is usually a set fee depending
on the level of analysis and the time taken. Obviously
analyses of complex answers where the respondent can write in
his/her own answer can be considerably more expensive than the
analysis of simple yes/no answers or answers which involve ticking
one of several boxes. .
